They say life starts at 40, so I hope we all agree that I am now 22, with 62years experience. I am grateful to God that I have the opportunity to witness yet another year in the fullness of his grace, compassion of his mercy, and fulfillment of his promises. Today, I'll talk about some of my many experiences so far, how grace found and sustained me, my story may not be as popular as that of batman, superman, or even Cristiano Ronaldo, but my story is unique, and full of grace. He saw seven fat cows being eaten by seven skinny ones, and seven healthy ears of grain swallowed by seven thin, scorched ones. No one could explain the meaning, until a wise Hebrew prisoner named Joseph was brought before him. Joseph told Pharaoh that the dream was a warning from God: there would be seven years of great abundance, followed by seven years of terrible famine. Let me begin with a story of a farmer, who once found a lost eagle chick and, not knowing how to return it to its nest, brought it home and raised it among his chickens. The eagle grew up believing it was a chicken pecking at grains, flapping its wings without ever flying, and living on the ground like the others. One day, a visitor noticed the majestic bird and was surprised to see it living such a lowly life. He told the farmer, “That’s not a chicken, it’s an eagle, born to soar.” Curious, he picked up the eagle and lifted it toward the sky, urging it to fly. We need to develop ourselves, educate ourselves, and continuously learn new things. One crucial lesson is to avoid shortcuts. Beyond the fact that they rarely end well, even for the few lucky ones, shortcuts rob us of essential developmental experiences. Progress is a process, and when you decide to cut the process, you automatically stop the progress. Following due process makes it easier to restart whenever there’s a setback. However, for those who relied on shortcuts, setbacks can be devastating and difficult to recover from. It is essential to change any way of life that isn’t allowing us to grow.   In life, most people measure success by luxury, power, and material possessions. Owning the best houses, cars, and investments seems to be the ultimate goal for many. While these things are undeniably important, what truly matters is influence. What we do with our wealth, power, and opportunities. Living a meaningful life is what defines our best existence.   There are many factors that contribute to a fulfilling life, but above all, it is what we do for humanity that counts. The impact we make in the lives of others is what truly reflects our purpose. As Matthew 25:40 states, "Whatever you do for others, especially those in need, you are doing for me." God does not accept material gifts directly. Instead, He receives them through the kindness we show to those in need.
