WHY YOU MUST NOT FAIL
Happy Sunday my dear friend, thank you for celebrating me last week, and I'm so glad to see how far we have come together. May God continue to keep us stronger and productive. This week I will be talking on failure, emphasizing on why we must reject it.
In life, many start out without clarity. No focus, no purpose, no vision. They move because others are moving. They act because they think they should, not because they are driven by intent. Yet, true success demands more. It demands that you settle one major question: Why must I not fail? Abraham Lincoln knew why he couldn’t afford failure. Though he lost much, he refused to give up. Lee De Forest, inventor of the triode tube, stood firm even when he was charged with fraud. Walt Disney faced countless rejections, but he pressed on. The Wright brothers were criticized and doubted, but they dared the impossible until they made it possible.
History tells us one truth. Those who win are those who refuse to surrender to failure. Many today give up because they assume things are impossible. They forget how impossible it once seemed to make a machine heavier than air fly, until the Wright brothers proved otherwise. They forget the days when electricity was just a dream, or when the idea of computers sounded absurd, until men like Charles Babbage stepped in. They forget the impossibility of black freedom in South Africa, until Mandela rose to fight. The only true impossibility is for a dead man. As long as you live, success is yours, if you know *why* you must succeed.
You must not fail because your success carries weight beyond yourself. If Mandela had failed, South Africa's freedom might have been delayed, costing more lives. When you fail, you fail not just yourself but those counting on you. If Lincoln had quit, he would not be remembered for persistence but for misfortune. If the Wright brothers had folded, air travel wouldn’t be what it is today. You are designed to be a solution. Failing to solve that problem is failing your destiny. If Edison had stopped after his 1,000th trial, the world might still be in the dark, and history would have mocked him, not praised him. That’s why you must not fail.
The reasons are endless, but they all point to one fact. Those who make it did so because they understood why they must not fail. They held that thought close, worked for their vision, and refused to quit. So if you desire success, start by considering your own reason. Settle it in your heart, and then move with purpose. Because truly, things only stay impossible until someone makes them possible.
Thank you for reading, do not forget to comment and share with your family and friends, see you next Sunday. I wish you a productive week.
