THE POWER OF VISION

Good morning my dear friend, and happy palm sunday, let me start by telling you a familiar story. Once upon a time, in the great land of Egypt, the mighty Pharaoh had a strange and troubling dream. He saw seven fat cows being eaten by seven skinny ones, and seven healthy ears of grain swallowed by seven thin, scorched ones. No one could explain the meaning, until a wise Hebrew prisoner named Joseph was brought before him. Joseph told Pharaoh that the dream was a warning from God: there would be seven years of great abundance, followed by seven years of terrible famine. He advised Pharaoh to store food during the good years to survive the bad. Impressed by his wisdom, Pharaoh made Joseph governor over all Egypt. Just as the dream foretold, the land flourished, and Joseph gathered food in vast storehouses. When the famine came, Egypt had enough for its people and even for strangers from faraway lands, including Joseph’s own brothers, who came seeking food, unaware they were kneeling before the brother they once betrayed. And so, through wisdom and foresight, a nation was saved, and a family was reunited.

The story shows a clear difference between dreams and visions, while dreams are always symbolic, visions are always clearer, direct, and purposeful. Pharaoh had the dream, but Joseph had the vision, pharaoh was unsettled until he met the bearer of the clearer version and understanding of what he had seen. Today's story leads us into our topic THE POWER OF VISION.

Visions have transformational powers, it gives clarity to journey, enables the right preparation, and brings fulfilment of purpose. Now, the common question is about who can have a vision? Are visions only for prophets, or few people ordained by the most high? A lot of people do not know that they've recieved visions multiple times, but the fact that they didn't take it serious, because of lack of awareness and self discovery. There's no identification of vision without self discovery, that's more reason i talked about self discovery in my last message, kindly go back and read it if you haven't.

Another common question that comes up is about where and when one can have a vision. Firstly, we need to understand that vision can either be recieved or conceived, this makes it possible for visions to be had anywhere and anytime,  remember that Joseph was in prison when he recieved the vision, and a lot of visions were conceived at different points and places. The world's civilisation is as a result of the conception of different visions, and actions. God instructed the prophet Habakkuk to write down the vision clearly so that anyone who reads it can act on it. It emphasizes the importance of clarity, preparation, and communication of divine instructions or personal purpose. Whether recieved or conceived, your vision must be well spelt.

The major difference between a dream and a vision is Understanding, without interpretation dreams are not different from nightmares. All true visions comes to pass, except that most times the bearer might not experience the reality due to different reasons. Just like God showed Moses the Promised Land, some visions are meant to be seen, stewarded, and passed on, even if not fully experienced by the bearer. Fulfillment isn’t always in arrival; sometimes, it’s in obedience, preparation, and legacy. Another bitter truth is that a lot of bearers do not live their vision because of lack of proper plans and actions, while people who never had the vision but planned and worked in line with it, will live the fullness of it. Vision is not result, it is just an easy and direct access to fulfilment, it makes the journey easier and smooth. Poetically, let's say, vision isn’t a destination, it’s a direction. It doesn’t replace the process, but it makes the process meaningful.

Above all, the power of vision transcends reality, as even the picture of the future is in the force of imagination, the greatness of today were visions conceived in the past. What this means is that, no matter how bad we think our lives have been, we have been gifted by God, the ability to dream, understand, implement, and fulfil. As said in the scripture, Romans 8:20 “For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope.” it is evident that God believes in us, and he's aware of all our predicaments, but he hopes in our ability to conceive and live in our visions, just as the common quote "if you can dream it, you can be it" why not sit down, and revisit your life, tomorrow will be better than today, if you can concieve it.

In conclusion, vision is not a privilege of a few, but a divine gift available to all who dare to see beyond the present. It is the bridge between today’s potential and tomorrow’s reality. Whether conceived in the heart or received from above, a vision becomes powerful only when it is understood, written, pursued, and lived. So, dear friend, don’t just sleep and dream, wake up and see. The future is not a distant time; it is a visible picture waiting for your action. The question is not whether you have a vision, but whether you will rise to live it. May you not only see it, but walk in it, and fulfill it.

Thank you for reading today's message, I hope you are blessed, kindly comment and share with your loved ones, you never can tell who needs the message than you do. Have a productive and blessed week, happy easter in advance.
