Making this Christmas Special

Jungle bells.. Silent night… Mary’s born child... Those are the lines of Christmas songs. In the atmosphere of Christmas, I say Merry Christmas to you all my dear friends. Thank God for an opportunity to witness yet another Christmas on the land of living. 

I know tomorrow is Christmas and we can’t wait to have the celebration, but today is Christmas eve – a day to Christmas, which for some people, is actually part of Christmas. Christmas has already started!

So, today, let’s share something again about Christmas. 

Few days ago, I was somewhere and a thought dropped in my heart – “What about you make this Christmas special?” I know quite a lot of us are used to doing Christmas certain way or just spicing things up a little bit. But today, I want to challenge you on how you can make your Christmas special.

What can you do this year that you didn’t do last year?

I’ve seen couple of Christmas ideas like taking pictures, singing Christmas Carol as a family, asking parents and grandparents to share their childhood Christmas stories, playing family games, watching movies together, going to the village to enjoy Christmas, helping people on the street, spreading the love of Christ, and so on. 

All beautiful! I love that. 

And I want to pick one of them that really interest me, and that is spreading the love of Christ. You know Christmas is all about love. It is about spreading the love of Christ, and letting people know how much God has sacrificed for mankind by giving us His only begotten son.

Even those we call unbelievers, everyone is a receiver of God’s love. God doesn’t discriminate His love. The Bible says “For God so love the world…” That is huge! (for His love knows no bounds).

Maybe this Christmas can be a time when you really express that love. Maybe it can be a time to forgive. Maybe it can be a time to reunite. Maybe it can be a time to rekindle that love that is dwindling in your family. Maybe it can be that time to let all the pains of the past be behind you and focus on the love of Christ.

Beautiful things like writing a love note to your loved one, buying a gift for your spouse or children, caring for people around you, feeding the homeless children, helping and supporting disabled people, and so on, – can all do wonders.

Just let your life emanate love. Let all that you are and live for showcase love.

The true spirit of Christmas is love!

And like someone said, Christmas isn’t just a season, it is a feeling. And that feeling, I believe, is love. Love is all that Christmas is.

This December must be the month to remember. Make it so. Let all that you do and celebrate this Christmas express love and beauty.

And by the way, as next year 2023 is fast approaching, I want to share something about making plans for the new year – how you can plan your year and make the best of it – it will come up this coming week. Watch out!

I pray you have a wonderful Christmas filled with moments of love and joy. The Lord bless you and increase you.

Embracing A Journey of Resilience And Gratitude

Glad to come your way again, friends! Trust you and your family have been doing great and having a great week. Today marks the 7th year anniversary of passing to glory of my dear husband. It was just like yesterday when the whole incident happened. I thank the Lord who has kept me and my children, and has led us, and continue to lead us in the way of life and fulfillment. I met my husband at my workplace in the year 1990, and ever since then, it has been a journey of love and fulfillment. I knew my husband (Joshua Adeyemi Olojo) as an honest, meticulous, diligent, caring, loving, and God-fearing man. He was someone who loved the Lord wholeheartedly and loved people also. He instilled the habit of serving the Lord in his children, and made it a family tradition for us to always have daily devotion and go to church. With so much gladness in my heart, I welcome you, dear friends, to the New Year 2024. This is a year that we've all been expecting, and thank God, we've entered it. Thank God for His goodness and faithfulness. Where shall we start? Is it to recount how the year 2023 was spent or to plan for the year ahead? I know that at the beginning of the new year like this, many things go through our minds. Questions like – How will the year look? What will happen? Won’t what happened last year occur again this year? And so on. But God is faithful. He will grant us wisdom and understanding to navigate this year. We will receive direction and clarity. We will not be confused or frustrated this year. For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God and work according to His purpose. For this year, we know it’s our blessed year. It’s our prosperous and glorious year. We will not lack any good thing this year. And the Lord will be our sufficiency and provider this year.
