The Fear of Poverty

Image
Hello friends! Welcome back. It’s one week already since our last discussion. Thank God for another wonderful weekend and the end of the month. I hope this month has been fulfilling for you. May your good plans come to fruition and have success in your endeavors. Today, I wanted to wrap up on my last discussion, but I realized there are other critical types of fear we need to discuss before I conclude on everything. For many of us, I know it has not been easy going through life, and facing different circumstances and challenges.  Notable among these challenges is fear. Fear is known to be the number one emotion that troubles our heart and makes us act, even sometimes in a way that could harm us. The fear I want to discuss today is the fear of poverty.  If you’ve ever been poor, you will know that it’s not good to be one. Living life would be difficult. One would not be able to afford basic necessities of life. There would be lack of food, clothes, shelter, healthcare, educatio...

The Fear of the Unknown

Dear friends, welcome back. Trust your week has been great. And I hope this coming week will bring you good news and happiness. Today, I want to share something on fear. It is the fear of the unknown. This is the most common fear ever known. It is the fear that troubles our mind and sometimes cripples it. It has made some of us to be passive and unable to achieve our goals. I remember many years ago, I had problem handling this fear. I was worried and anxious about every little thing, especially things that I don’t know. I think and think, and pound my head over many things.  When it comes to what I don’t know, I fear. I’m afraid to handle that thing and eventually I may not do anything. I later observed that this is the fear that many of us have as well. It is the fear that makes us to be labile and passive about life. We fear the unknown. We fear what we are not aware or informed about. We fear the future. In fact, we fear tomorrow. Some people say " no one knows tomorrow" ...

5 Surprising Ways to Lose Weight

Hello friends, welcome back. Trust your week has been great. Today, I want to share 5 surprising ways to lose weight.  Just few days ago, I was scrolling through my social media and I came across one video where the guy was talking about how to lose weight. He said losing weight requires just shaking your head left to right frequently, that if someone approaches you with food, you continue shaking your head, so that eventually you don’t eat anything.  I laughed and laughed. The ending part was funny because people would think the guy was serious. But he was only doing comedy. His point was – don’t eat food, and you will find yourself losing weight . Quite funny! Even though that’s going to be hard for anyone to do, balancing what we eat is also important for maintaining good weight. Let me share 5 surprising ways to lose weight, when it comes to what you eat. First, plan your meals:  I discover that as simple as this sounds, many of us are guilty of it. Most times, it’s w...

How to Love People

Image
Happy new month friends. It’s August already. Thank God for life and good health. And trust your week was great.  Today I want to share something on how to love people. I know the subject of love is a popular one. Everyone of us talks about it. And come to think of it, it’s because of how important love is.  Love is important in our family, in our relationships, in our place of work…everywhere!  When we love people, people are attracted to us. They want to be nice to us and be our friends. In my experience, I see people appreciate it when they feel loved. They want to open up and share their moments with you.  And, that for me is a good sign that people are willing to receive and appreciate love from whoever is giving it to them. When we love people, we also forgive. We overlook their shortcomings and weaknesses, while we focus on their strength and good side. This is not in a way to condone what is not good, but in a way to allow them to grow and do better. Quite im...
