Q&A –"How Do You Keep Fit And Stay In Shape Despite Many Temptations to Eat Junk Foods?"

Image
Welcome back friends. Trust your week has been great and you’ve been in good health. Thank God for His goodness. From today, I want to start a question and answer series where I will be answering some of the questions that people ask me. I hope this will benefit you and we will have a great time. Someone asked – " How do you keep fit and stay in shape despite many temptations on eating junks? " So, the answer is simple – I pay attention to couple of things. First, I make sure I’m conscious of what I eat. This is very important because most times we have temptation to eat junk. I do sometimes too. But I make sure I don’t go back or eat in excess. Eating junks once in a while will not cause problem to our body, but making it our diet will. So, I make sure I regulate my diet. I plan what I eat. And I make it a lifestyle. I eat food rich in fiber like oatmeal, whole grains and vegetables. I also eat fish, less meat, more salad and lots of water. I do intermittent fasting and I ...

It’s Time to Clean Up

Image
So much sun this summer. Thank God for His grace and goodness. How are you friends? Hope you are doing well and enjoying this summer. Today, I’m discussing a title – it’s time to clean up . Perhaps, you are someone like me who likes to sometimes do some clean up in my house . I like to look into my room and see something to change, something to fix, and something to clean up. I have had several occasions when I found things in my room or house that I didn’t need. I packed them and gave them out. Sometimes, it could be when a need arises from outside or someone asked me for something that I’ll remember I’m not using it, so I’ll give it out. A lot of times, we have more than we need, and we still feel we don’t have enough. It’s like that, as humans. The 80/20 rule states that we use only 20% of what we have 80% of the time. In other words, there are only few things we use most of the time out of what we have. And that calls for some clean up! When we have a lot of things in our room, i...

Feeling Discouraged?

Image
Hello friends, welcome back to my blog. Trust your week has been good. Few days ago, I was reminiscing over couple of things and I thought I should share something about feeling discouraged.   I know there are many situations that make us feel discouraged in life. And that doesn’t mean something is wrong with us. We might be going through difficult situations, and they are so frustrating for us to handle or deal with. Before you feel discouraged, you’ve probably tried your best, did everything you could, but nothing still worked. Everything still remained standstill and you wondered if you would ever get solution or come out of the problem. Discouragement could also come from not receiving appreciation from people. When you are doing good and nobody is appreciating you, you feel discouraged. More so, when people are paying your good back with evil, you wonder if you should continue doing good or become indifferent. Nonetheless, the feeling of discouragement is most times hard t...

Little Things that Make the Difference

Image
Summer is so much here with us. Thank God for good health and wellbeing. Warm greetings to you friends from wherever you are reading from. Welcome back to my blog. Today I want to share something about little things that make the difference in our lives. There are many things we do that make the difference. And most times we pay attention to the big things. But small things also count. And it is those small things that we do most times and they make a big difference in our lives. Little things are things that require little or no efforts and we pay little attention to. They are part of our daily lives and routines. And because of this, they are easy to trivialize and take for granted. But the effect they have could impact our lives on the long run. For example, waking up in the morning to brush your teeth might sound trivial, but it has so much effect on your oral hygiene and how people are comfortable talking with you. The same thing goes for taking shower and dressing well. That migh...
