LIFE Is An Opportunity

We often hear opportunity comes but once, meaning it’s only one time we have a big opportunity in life. Perhaps there may be small other opportunities, but the big one only comes once in a lifetime and once it’s missed, that’s all. Okay, maybe not all the time. Life itself is an opportunity, in fact, the greatest opportunity. The good news is that we all have it. We don’t need to start looking for it. If you are alive, it means you have it. 

So why is life the greatest opportunity? Life is the greatest opportunity because it’s from it that we are able to do everything. If you’ve got plans to go to school, marry, have children, help people, do something and so on, it’s because you are still alive. For someone who is dead, there’s no plan or future ahead of them. The only thing after death is judgment. No one asks the dead what their plans are. They can’t even talk with them. They’ve got no plans. But as for us who are still alive, there’s a lot we can do here. Every time we open our eyes to see the light of a new day, we are being presented with a new opportunity. Opportunity to live a good life, make better decisions, work in fulfillment of our purpose, achieve our dreams, get new ideas, meet new people, bless new lives, help new people and so on. 

Life presents us with all that we desire out of it. It’s now our choice to decide what we actually want out of it, by going for it. We will not sit down and be waiting for an opportunity to come, because we’ve already been presented with the greatest opportunity. But we will go ahead and do what we have to do. We will start that business, we will launch that project, we will meet that person, and we will go to that place. Everything we want to do, we will get them done because we are alive, we have the opportunity.

They say life starts at 40, so I hope we all agree that I am now 22, with 62years experience. I am grateful to God that I have the opportunity to witness yet another year in the fullness of his grace, compassion of his mercy, and fulfillment of his promises. Hello, my dear reader, It gladdens my heart to know that we both made it through 2024, and here we are in a new year, despite all the challenges of last year. In 2024, I was able to share a lot with you, and I hope to share even more in 2025. However, it’s important that we reflect on 2024 and prepare ourselves for the experiences of this New Year.
