SUSTAINING RELATIONSHIPS FOR THE FUTURE

Image
Happy new week, my dear friend. Many years ago, two childhood friends started a small business together. In the beginning, everything was smooth, they laughed, dreamed, and shared ideas late into the night. But as challenges came, disagreements grew. One wanted to take risks, while the other preferred caution. At the brink of breaking apart, they decided to sit down, talk honestly, and find balance. Today, that business has not only grown, but their friendship has remained intact because they made a choice to sustain their relationship for the future, not just for the moment. Their friendship gave them the strength to learn from their past mistakes and the patience to work through differences. Over time, this decision turned their business into a multimillion venture, proving that lasting bonds can give rise to lasting success. Just like that story, our personal, professional, and even community relationships face storms. Conflict is inevitable, but what keeps a bond alive is the...

Happy new week my dear friend, let's continue our conversation on an healthy relationship with people. Today, we'll talk about managing conflict and Differences. Conflict is a natural part of life because where there are people, there will always be differences in opinion, values, and approaches. Unmanaged conflict leads to resentment and broken trust, while healthy conflict management creates understanding and growth. Most conflicts arise from common issues such as poor communication, clashing values, competition for resources, or simply wounded pride. At the root of every disagreement lies a story or perspective waiting to be heard. That is why the first step to managing conflict is listening, not listening to reply, but listening to understand. Many...

UNDERSTANDING THE VALUE OF RELATIONSHIPS

Image
Happy new month my dear friend, this month we'll be talking about relationship with people. In life, no matter how successful, wealthy, or talented we may become, the true measure of our journey often lies in the quality of the relationships we build. Relationships are the bridges that connect us to opportunities, support systems, growth, and even healing. Every genuine relationship is rooted in trust, respect, and empathy. When we take time to listen, understand, and walk in another’s shoes, we create bonds that go beyond transactions. They become investments in people. These investments often yield rewards that money or status cannot buy: loyalty, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. The Scriptures give us powerful examples of this. Apostle Paul, once a persecutor, was feared and rejected after his transformation. Yet it was Barnabas who stood for him, even at great personal risk. That is the kind of friend we should all pray for, someone who does not abandon us when it is ...
