BEING EMOTIONALLY PEACEFUL

Image
Happy new week my dear friend, I'm so happy to have you here today, as we conclude on this month's theme LIVING IN PEACE. Do you remember a story a shared two weeks ago, that of a young man named Chidi, how he lived in a noisy environment, the decision he took, and the significance of that very decision. peace is a decision we all have to make, and it begins with how we manage our emotions. Sometimes, it’s not the noise around us that troubles us most, it’s the noise within. Our emotions are valid; they are signs that we are alive. But if we’re being honest, they can also wear us out. And in a world that constantly triggers our feelings, from disappointments to heartbreaks to just the pressure to keep going, emotional peace feels like a rare treasure. But here’s the truth: peace isn’t about not feeling anything. It’s about not letting what we feel control us. Being emotionally peaceful doesn’t mean we won’t get angry or feel pain. It simply means we’ve learned to breathe thro...

PEACE ATTRACTS EASE

Happy new week my dear friend, I'm so happy to write you again. As we continue our conversation on peace, I'll begin with a common story, s ome years ago, a popular experiment was conducted with two groups of people asked to complete a complex puzzle. One group was placed in a quiet, peaceful room with soft natural lighting. The other group was put in a noisy room filled with distractions and pressure. Same task, same instructions. The result? Those in the peaceful environment finished faster and made fewer mistakes. The difference wasn’t intelligence, it was atmosphere. Peace gave their minds the room to think clearly and move with ease. This story constantly reminds me of much ease and positivity that peace brings. Peace is not a luxury. It’s a necessity, a quiet confidence that even when things don’t go as planned, you’re not losing yourself trying to fix what’s broken. Life has taught us that ease doesn’t come from how smooth the road is, but from the stillness inside u...

PEACE IN THE MIDST OF STORM

Image
Happy new week, my dear friend. I am happy to write you again this week, let's continue our conversation on a peaceful life. Life isn’t always smooth, and truthfully, it was never meant to be. We all face our share of storms. Some come with warning signs, others show up uninvited, shaking everything we thought was stable. But in the middle of that chaos, there's something rare and powerful, peace. Not the kind that waits for the noise to die down, but the kind that stays calm even when nothing around you makes sense. That’s the real strength, to smile, to breathe, to keep moving, even when everything is screaming at you to give up. Peace in the storm is a mindset, not a miracle. It doesn’t always change your situation. But it changes how you show up in it. Some battles are louder than others. But the real war is internal, between fear and faith, between anxiety and assurance. And the truth is, peace doesn’t mean you don’t feel pain. It means pain doesn’t define your decisions....

LIVING IN PEACE

Happy Sunday, my dear friend. Today we will talk about living in peace, helping us understand how to leave a purposeful life, I'll start with a story. A young man named Chidi grew up in a bustling, noisy Lagos neighborhood where the sound of honking cars, shouting traders, and unpredictable power cuts were the norm. Despite the chaos around him, Chidi made an unusual decision. Every morning before the city came alive, he would wake up, sit by his window, and breathe deeply in silence for just ten minutes. This routine became his sacred ritual. While his friends were always complaining about life’s hardships, Chidi approached each day with calmness, handled stress better, and seemed to smile more often. When asked about his secret, he would simply say, “I choose peace every morning, before the world chooses noise.” The truth is, many people today are fighting battles that don’t belong to them dragging burdens they were never assigned. Social media has turned everything into a race: ...
